We Welcome ALL
Worship Sunday 10 AM
We had a wind storm damage some of the wooden trim on the steeple's exterior over the winter. In compliance with Londonderry, NH's request, we have taped that area off for safety as we locate someone who can repair it. No, we are not closing and our church is still meeting every Sunday!
Repairing the trim on the steeple requires specialized equipment and training, and we are on the hunt for an expert who can assist us with this important project.
Londonderry Presbyterian Church is a cozy congregation with a big heart. We're an inclusive and affirming PC(USA) church, which means whoever you are, wherever you've been, and whatever your story, you are welcome at this table. You are not a problem to be fixed here at LPC. You're a person to be loved.
We lead with grace. If church has hurt you before, or you've been told you don't fit the mold, we'd love the chance to show you that you can belong here. You do not need to navigate the world alone.
We won't pretend we're a large congregation—we're not. Wherever two or more are gathered is just as holy as where two thousand are gathered. It means you won't get lost here. By the time coffee hour (of vital importance to us Presbyterians) is over, we will know your name. What we lack in size, we make up for in how deeply we know and care for one another, and we'd love for you to become part of that. We here at LPC will walk beside you on your faith journey and through life, sharing your joys and sorrows.
If you come for nothing else, come for the music! Our music ministry is the heart of our worship. It's the one of the first things visitors notice about our services. We do a blended service of traditional hymns and modern music featuring several different instruments and vocalists. Our team has served the church for over a decade together, and they work hard to uplift all souls who come to LPC.
Londonderry Presbyterian Church is the oldest continuing Presbyterian congregation in New England and among the oldest on the East Coast. Our building has stood since 1837, but our roots go back further yet to the Scots-Irish settlers who carved a life out of New Hampshire granite, farmed rock-strewn fields, planted the first potatoes grown in the United States, and became famous for the linen they wove by hand. One of our earliest meeting houses is still standing today, just across the town square.
For nearly three hundred years, this congregation has been a sanctuary and a source of light for this community. We're honored to carry that heritage forward. We honor this story and celebrate our deep ties to Londonderry and the surrounding towns as well as long relationships with our sibling churches in the area. We'd love for you and your family to be part of its next chapter. (For more, check out our History page!)
We stream live every Sunday over on YouTube and on our Facebook page. You don't need to be here in person to be part of our congregation. You can be part of LPC wherever you are.
